Glycolic Acid Peel

Glycolic Acid is a fruit acid derived from sugar cane.   The Glycolic Acid peel creates a mild exfoliation of the skin and is considered a mild strength peel.  This peel loosens up and exfoliates the superficial or top layer of skin.  It is also effective for stimulating collagen growth.  Effective for the treatment of mild acne scarring, skin discoloration, mild to moderate wrinkling, and early sun damage.  This peel is lighter than the medium peeling agents and is therefore usable in the younger, less sun damaged person.

Following the procedure, a slight burning sensation may be noticed.  Your skin will develop redness after the application .  Mild facial peeling will occur following the application.  Because this peel produces only a mild skin rejuvenation this procedure has a significantly short recovery time when compared to the other deeper resurfacing peels.

The results of this process is that your skin will appear fresher and more youthful.  The Glycolic Acid peel provides improved skin appearance with a very short recovery time.  However if more significant results are desired a medium or deep peel may be needed.
